Hardcase visits J.D. Hunt and scares him into revealing the location of Rex Mundi. When he goes to the secret location, Hardcase learns that it was a set-up because the building explodes. Hardcase then speaks to Tech of the Solution to find out where the Quattro may be. Shadowmage informs him where Death Dance and Meathook are. Hardcase goes to visit them and they attack him, thinking they're in a fight. After Hardcase resolves the confusion, Death Dance and Meathook informs him where they could find Rex. Meanwhile, the new Choice that Hardcase inadvertently 'created' by altering the time stream arrives at Hardcase's office to find him. At the same time, the real Choice arrives from Godwheel to find Hardcase's home in shambles.
